disbondment coating

Refers to the separation or detachment of a protective coating from the underlying substrate, such as a pipeline or a metal surface. It occurs when the coating loses adhesion and forms a gap or void between the coating and the substrate, leaving the metal exposed to potential corrosion or other forms of degradation.
